Community in Action: Geek Powered Backs Booster Club Dreams
Geek Powered is proud to stand with the all-volunteer Argyle Booster Club, an organization that rolls up its sleeves to enrich every corner of the Argyle School District—academics, athletics, arts, and beyond. Because public funding can’t cover every dream, the Boosters raise their own resources to spark school spirit, boost attendance, and create a healthy, inspiring environment for every student.
This year, we added both funds and friendly competition to the cause, contributing directly to Booster initiatives and fielding a team in the annual golf outing fundraiser. From the clubhouse to the classroom, we’re honored to help close the gap so Argyle students can aim higher and achieve more—together.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors: Our Digital Boost for the County Fair
When the Lafayette County Fair needed a digital makeover, Geek Powered stepped in—no strings attached. We rebuilt the site from the ground up, turning a static, desktop-only page into a vibrant, mobile-friendly hub that fairgoers can enjoy anywhere. Visitors now breeze through an interactive event schedule, explore exhibitor info, and find up-to-the-minute updates with ease. By donating all design, development, and hosting services, we’re proud to help the Fair showcase local talent and traditions on a modern stage—so the community can focus on the fun, not the tech.

Where Code Meets Community: Supporting Argyle’s Parks
At Geek Powered, giving back isn’t a side project—it’s part of our DNA. That’s why our team proudly donates its time, talent, and tech to create and host ArgyleParks.org, the digital home for the Argyle Community Parks Foundation. By handling everything from design to maintenance, we free the Foundation to focus on its inspiring mission: “Bringing the community together to build better parks—where kids can dream, seniors can thrive, and everyone belongs.” Whether we’re optimizing site performance, showcasing new park plans, or amplifying fundraising events online, we’re all-in on building vibrant, inclusive green spaces for our neighbors. Because when our parks flourish, our whole community does too.

Building More Than Computers: Partnering with Argyle High School to Inspire Future Tech Talent
When Jason Leopold, the Tech Ed teacher at Argyle High School, reached out with an idea for a PC Building & Troubleshooting class, we knew we had to be part of it. His students were eager to learn how to assemble computers, troubleshoot hardware, and explore careers in technology.
Together, we developed a curriculum with a focus on A+ CompTIA certification skills—helping prepare students for real-world IT careers. To make the hands-on experience possible, Geek Powered donated $2,500 for hardware and supplies. This allowed the two classes to each build a fully functional gaming PC.
But the learning didn’t end with assembly. Students held a raffle and sold their PCs, raising funds to sustain and expand the program for future classes.
On “Build Day,” our staff was on-site to mentor, answer technical questions, and share insights about working in the IT field. The energy and excitement in the room made it clear—this was more than just a class; it was a launchpad.
The partnership’s impact has already extended beyond the classroom. Three of the students joined Geek Powered as part-time summer team members, and two more will participate in the School-to-Work program during the 2025–2026 school year.
This collaboration is a perfect example of what’s possible when local businesses and schools work together—equipping students with the confidence, skills, and real-world connections they need to thrive.
At Geek Powered, we’re not just building computers—we’re helping build futures.
